This Privacy Policy describes how SierraNova Labs LLC ("SierraNova Labs," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the LabsLedger application ("App") and the LabsLedger website at labsledger.app ("Website").

1. The Short Version

We don't collect your health data. Period. LabsLedger stores everything locally on your Mac. We have no servers receiving your data, no analytics tracking your usage, and no way to access your information — even if we wanted to.

2. App Data Privacy

2.1 What We Do NOT Collect

The LabsLedger app does NOT collect, transmit, or have access to:

Your health information, lab results, or biomarker data
Your PDF lab reports
Your personal information (name, date of birth, etc.)
Usage analytics or telemetry data
Device information or identifiers (beyond what is required for license activation)
Location data
Contacts or calendar information

2.2 Data Storage

All your data is stored in one of two locations, chosen by you:

Local Storage ("This Mac Only"): Data resides in the App's sandboxed container on your Mac, accessible only to the App.
iCloud Storage: Data is stored in your personal Apple iCloud account, subject to Apple's privacy policy. SierraNova Labs has no access to your iCloud data.

2.3 License Activation

When you activate a license (direct purchase only), the App communicates with our licensing provider to validate your license key. This communication includes:

Your license key
A machine fingerprint (a hash of your Mac's hardware identifier)

No health data, personal information, or app usage data is transmitted during license activation.

2.4 No Data Recovery

Because we never have access to your data, we cannot help you recover lost data under any circumstances. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups.

3. Website Data

3.1 Website Analytics

The LabsLedger website (labsledger.app) does not currently use analytics services. We do not track your browsing behavior on our website.

3.2 Cookies

The LabsLedger website does not use tracking cookies. Essential cookies may be set by our hosting provider (Namecheap) for basic functionality.

3.3 Purchase Transactions

When you purchase LabsLedger, the transaction is processed by FastSpring, our merchant of record. FastSpring collects payment information under their own privacy policy. SierraNova Labs does not directly collect or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing details).

4. Third-Party Services

The following third-party services may process limited data in connection with LabsLedger:

FastSpring: Processes purchases as merchant of record
Keygen: Manages license key validation
Apple iCloud: Optional cloud storage, if you choose to enable it

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

5. Children's Privacy

LabsLedger is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
